How to get to Barnstaple
Parking/Park & Ride
Barnstaple has car park amenities within easy walking distance of the town centre. There is also a Park & Ride based at Park School, Newport, Barnstaple, with buses running at frequent intervals into the town centre.
Tarka Trail
The Tarka Trail begins at Barnstaple station and offers access to 21 miles of level, scenic traffic free cycling and walking. From Barnstaple the trail follows the River Taw, where the estuary is rich with wild birds. Cycle hire is available from the Tarka Trail Cycle Hire at Barnstaple station.
Public Transport
Barnstaple has a regular bus service servicing the town, and in addition is easily accessible by train via the scenic Tarka Line from Exeter. Trains run seven days a week all year round, with an hourly service on weekdays and Saturdays.

The centre is in Albert Lane, adjacent to the Bus Station in Queens Street, Barnstaple. Opening times are Monday to Friday from 9.15 am to 4.00 pm.
