Barnstaple Town Centre Management
Following the decision to abandon the BID in 2015, there is now no budget for activities that support the vitality and viability of the town centre. The Town Centre Manager is paid for by North Devon Council, but the projects that BID supported, such as Christmas lights and New Year Celebrations, have to be funded another way if they are to continue. At the same time the way we live is changing and Barnstaple has to follow suit and remain relevant for today and tomorrow.
BTCM is the organisation that works to secure the future of the town centre by undertaking activities such as: events, environmental improvements, safety, marketing and business support.
Barnstaple Town Centre Management (BTCM) is a not for profit public/private sector partnership working together with the aim of: improving the viability, prosperity, wellbeing and vitality of the Town Centre through effective partnership working and to devise and undertake activities to promote the economic development of Barnstaple and improve the environment of Barnstaple for the benefit of those who live, work or visit the area.
