Stained Glass – producing a panel and developing an appreciation of the materials

This two day course is an opportunity to work with experts from Cliveden Conservation. During this course you cover the following:

Day 1:
Introduction to Cliveden Conservation and ‘how I got into conservation.’
Best practice in conservation – do’s & don’ts with stained glass windows – materials, repairs, inappropriate mortars.
Walk around Barnstaple to view and discuss glass conservation issues and challenges.
Introduction to safe working practices.
Glass cutting techniques and methodology.
Laying out your panel.
Developing the technique and use of copper foil/commencing production of panel.
Day 2:
Glass cutting.
Producing small panel.

Monday 17th, Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th February, 11am - 5pm to develop and produce the play. Friday the 21st February, 1pm - 5pm, with a public performance at 4pm as part of Fringe Extra.
