Mayor’s Country Music Hoedown

Please note that this event is suitable for ages 12 and up. Participants aged 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Introducing the Country Music Revolution! This year, the Mayor of Barnstaple, Cllr Janet Coates, is redefining the traditional Mayors Ball fundraising event with her exciting Country Music Hoedown.

🤠 Line Dancing & Square Dancing – Get involved and try some line dancing, perfect for beginners.
🎸 Live Country Music – Local artists performing hour-long sets of your favourite country music.
🐂 Rodeo Mechanical Bull – Inflatable ride to test your skills.
🍖 Hog Roast Feast – Devon country-style hog roast, plus other food vendors.
📸 Western-Themed Photo Booth – Snap some fun photos in a western setting.
🎯 Carnival Games – Traditional games for all ages.
🍹 Country Bars – Main bar & smaller cider/cocktail bar featuring a themed “Mayor’s Cocktail.”
👢 Cowboy Boot Toss – Test your aim in a friendly competition.
🎈 Inflatables – Bouncy castle for all ages
🔇 Quiet Zone (Neurodiversity-Friendly) – A calm space with a potential silent disco.
🤠 Cow Lasso – Test your lasso skills and see if you can rope the target!
