Press Release

Date: 05/04/19

Barnstaple Town Centre Management in partnership with the Queen Anne’s Cafe, have created a brilliant way for children and families to keep busy this Easter; an Easter Fun Day and Bunny Hunt.

This year’s hunt follows a slightly different format from usual, being a one day event to be held on Saturday 20th April.  Entry forms with map and clues can be collected from Superheroes of Boutport Street or printed from the Barnstaple – It’s a Must Facebook page.  When solved, the answers will lead to the locations of 10 bunnies placed in shops around the town centre.

Those who enter will be in with the chance of winning a prize of a family ticket to see this year’s pantomime ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ at the Queen’s Theatre - courtesy of The Queen Anne’s Theatre Barnstaple (Selladoor Worldwide) - and an Easter Egg.  There will also be 10 runner-up prizes of Easter eggs, kindly donated by Tesco Barnstaple.

Once the entry form is complete with the name of where each bunny can be found and a stamp from each location, they can posted in dedicated post box inside the Queen Anne’s Café on The Strand; last entries to be in by 4pm.

You could also take part in the Fun Day at The Queen Anne’s Café on the Strand. Craft sessions will be running at 10am & 2pm at £5 per child, with proceeds going to Children's Hospice South West).  There will be live Music with Amena El-Kindy, Face Painting with Sparkle & Co. Fun Fair Ride, Bouncy Castle, Hook a Duck and a Lucky Dip (all charged separately).

There will be some very special Easter guests around the town centre on the Saturday.  Oreo the Easter Bunny will be in the town centre from 11am – 1pm and then around The Queen Anne’s Café from 1 -2pm and The Borderline Morris Men will also be performing in Butchers Row from 11 – 1pm.
