Performers from Barnstaple’s Fringe TheatreFest invite you to be part of this unique event.

This annual event draws thousands into the historic Pannier Market. Last year 75 exhibitors delivered a taste of North Devon, with quality local produce for sale, locally produced ales, ciders and drinks, and live music and entertainment for all the family.

This popular festival, supported by BID Barnstaple, is normally held over two days however this year it coincides with the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations and so is going to be extended to three days.

The Real Ale Fest gives the opportunity to enjoy a fantastic array of beers from local breweries, including Barnstaple’s very own Barum Brewery.

The Opening Ceremony for the arrival of the Olympic Flame in Barnstaple will take place on Castle Green. Led by Pathfields School and students from every ‘special’ school in North Devon and Special Educational Needs students from mainstream schools, the event will open with Dance, which is the first of week long sporting activities for those involved.

On The Square, Barnstaple Town Council are also holding a Fun, Fitness and Food health and wellbeing day and invite everyone to come along and take part in the fun.
