North Devon Council and the University of Plymouth (UoP) are working together to launch a Creative Industries Mentoring Programme to connect young people with local professionals who can share their experience, knowledge and insight into the world of work.

Who can apply?

Do you live and work in North Devon?
Do you work in the creative industries?
Are you passionate about supporting and inspiring the next generation?

If so, we’d love you to become a mentor.

Mentoring is a fantastic opportunity to share your career journey, offer practical advice and help a young person understand the opportunities available to them. Your experience could help raise their aspirations, build their confidence and give them the skills and knowledge they need to take their next steps.

You have more to offer than you might think

You don’t need to have all the answers or be an expert mentor. Your experiences, insights and career journey are valuable.

By becoming a mentor, you can:

• Inspire the next generation and help them see what’s possible
• Share your knowledge and experience of working in the creative industries
• Help build confidence and employability skills
• Develop your own mentoring, communication and leadership skills
