Introduction to Painting with Natural Materials with Peter Stiles

Join local painter Peter Stiles in discovering the wonders of natural pigments.

Before the days when you could buy art materials over the counter artists used what was around them when they could. Come along and have a go at using Bideford black straight out of the cliffs, oak gall ink – used in the Renaissance and made with crushed oak apples, clay, flowers, charcoal and moss.

This is a great introduction to making your own natural pigments and inks and start to create your own exciting mark-making.
